It won’t take long until young Burmese men with funky hairdos draw your attention. Obviously the thing to do: a very, very creative part of local fashion! Young men proudly adorn themselves with the strangest haircuts. You think it’s a small number of extravagant people, oh no! It is a very widespread trend.
What does it look like? Let’s starts with the color – dyed hair seems to be standard. Light colors are the most popular ones, even blond is not uncommon, shades of red, green, blue or yellow are at times added.

For photographers this is heaven. We took pictures from the distance, but also close-ups were possible. After complimenting those youngsters on their creative haircuts, our requests for photos were never denied, but rather greeted with stunned faces and an embarrassed “yes”…
